back in early 2006, I tried it, but the indexing of the header files failed with the program running out-of-addresses (it took a couple of KB per line of code to index all sources, and hit the 3GB mem limit on my 32b box).

This may have been fixed/improved since.

Other than that, just point Eclipse to the sources and off you go. I'd have loved it, if it'd worked (if only b/c Eclipse with PyDev is the best python editor out there), so do let us know if the situation has improved.
