smotthing TH2D

Dear rooters,
I tried to smooth a TH2D in ROOT 5.13/04, using:
/my2Dhisto->Smooth()/

and I get:
/Error in <TH2D::Smooth>: Smooth only supported for 1-d histograms/

Could someone help me?
