Hi all,

Antonio, I'm writing this without having seen your original message, only Christian's reply (for some reason your email didn't end up in my inbox and the root-talk archive web site doesn't yet show it nor Christian's reply). So my apologies if I'm asking redundant questions below ...

Antonio, could you let us know exactly what operating system you are running? As mentioned by Christian, this version of ROOT is not in Debian per se. Useful pieces of info would include:

With ROOT version 5.18.00-2.1 packages installed from Debian? No other versions of ROOT on the system (including in /usr/local or $HOME)? On a pure Debian/lenny system?

I'm currently "side-grading" my very stale Sid chroot to Lenny to see if I can reproduce this on i386/lenny ... will let you know results, probably tomorrow, if no more info comes up in the meantime.

best regards,
