Hi,

Which ROOT version did you download exactly (which tar file)? Do you want to build from source or take a binary? If you build from source, could you send your configure.log file?

Cheers, Bertrand.

Dear Rene,

I am using windows vista and downloaded cygwin setup.exe from their page. I tried also the beta version and using Alex's webpage downloaded the windows.tar file and got the root prompt. But now after typing "root" its waiting for hours and not returning back to the final prompt.
Its stuck at "Enclose mutiple statements..." So I am near but not over :)
Is there any clue?
thanks very much,
debasish.
