Hi,

In $ROOTSYS/etc/system.rootrc, we have the following defaults for X11


# Settings for X11 behaviour.
X11.Sync:                no
X11.FindBestVisual:      yes

With some X11 cards, it is necessary to set
X11.FindBestVisual:      no

Try this and let me know.
