The propble is not new
Please check:
http://www.google.com/custom?q=bad+access+88&sa=Google+Search&cof=L%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Froot.cern.ch%2Froot%2Fimages%2Frooticon.gif%3BAH%3Acenter%3BAWFID%3Acc3c7c1b0b9c201d%3B&domains=root.cern.ch&sitesearch=root.cern.ch

Ii.e.. Search the ROOT Web site
http://root.cern.ch/root/Search.phtml
with "Use Google" for "bad access 88"

What is new for me is the (new eXceed + new ROOT). I'll try to check several ROOT versions to see whether to makes any difference.

	Hi Tobias,

The reported error code (XREQ: 88) is related to the FreeColors. We made
tests on 2.4.21-32.0.1.EL.cernsmp and did not see the problem. Please
provide in more details which steps you follow for reproducing the
	reported case.

	Thank you, Ilka
